Our Mission
To create easily accessible opportunities for girls to learn and play ice hockey and to increase overall participation in girls hockey through formation of an effective partnership between the Madison Patriots, Sun Prairie and Waunakee Youth Hockey Associations.
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose in forming a multi-association partnership is to create an economically feasible means of making ice hockey available to girls who prefer to learn skills and play competitively with other girls. We believer this is important so that as many girls as possible experience the social and life skills development, the opportunities, the physical benefits, and the pure fun that ice hockey provides.
OUR GOALS
–Create the framework for establishing girls recreational and travel hockey teams.
–Emphasize and provide appropriate skill development relative to games played.
–Develop knowledge of the game, individual and team skills, responsibility as a member of a team, and a commitment to fair play and good sportsmanship.
–Increase the number of girls participating in organized ice hockey programs at all age and skill levels.
–Increase awareness in our communities, the county, and state of girls ice hockey.
